The good news is that if your baby is ready for it, they can sleep through the night.

This can happen if everything lines up properly, like your baby learning to self-soothe after waking, or if they are able to get into a bedtime routine.

This will break the association with falling asleep in your arms and teach them to self-soothe at bedtime, which will help them sleep through the night.

Also, try not to stay in the room too long when they’re crying. Wait a few minutes and then try to console them, but don’t pick them up or leave the room. This will let them know you’re near by and will encourage them to self-soothe.

Using fans during the night is a good way to help your child sleep through the night but be aware that they can dry out the air too much. You can also try hanging a sheet in front of an open window and the breeze will naturally cool your room down.

So, they will need to get used to their room being dark at a young age in order for them to sleep well at night and have naps that last for an appropriate time.

So, if your baby is waking up early or taking abbreviated naps, try to keep the room dark for a few weeks. If you do, they will sleep through the night and be much happier than when their room is too bright. It’s also helpful to make sure that the room is cool and quiet, as warmth can disrupt sleep.
